How old would Jesus be today? Jesus was thought to have been born around 4 BCE, so if He was alive today, Papa Jesus would be about 2057.5 years old. However, Jesus is not alive in a physical form today, so it’s not possible to determine Jesus Christ age now.
Remember, Jesus Christ is in the form of God. So, He has no age, (ageless), because He has no beginning and no end just as the Father, (Jehovah). He was in heaven with the Father before He was transformed into this physical world as a child to fulfil an important task in saving humanity – John 1:1-3, Proverbs 8:22-31.
Mathematically
Now, let’s calculate how old is papa Jesus. Our calendar system is entirely based on zero (0). That means, we started mapping our calendar from 0 AD. AD is from the Latin words: “anno Domini” means: ” the year of our Lord.”
Meanwhile, Jesus was born in B.C.E, which means: “Before Christ Era.” After several calculations, it was determined that Jesus was born between 8 to 4 B.C.E. However, a lot of people choose 4 B.C.E as the birth year of Jesus. (This definitely shows that no body after the first century or so, knows the actual birth day of Jesus Christ).
From this chosen date till now, Jesus had lived and died from this physical world at the age of 33 or 33.5 years. After the death of Jesus Christ and until now is about 2024 years. Adding these two data: 33 years + 2024 or (33.5 + 2024) years gives us 2057 years or 2057.5 years.
So, how old is Jesus now? I will scholarly say, Jesus Christ would be 2057 years or 2057.5 years old, if he was still on this physical earth.
The Eternity of Jesus Christ
However, Jesus Christ is eternal – He has no beginning and no end. He is the beginning and the end to all things – He is ageless – Revelation 22:13.
He has been existing in heaven before He was transformed to this physical world to accomplish a mission – John 1:1 & 14.
